WHAT CAN ACUPUNCTURE HELP WITH?
Acupuncture may be used to support a variety of health and wellness concerns. At Dr. Gina Marks Acupuncture, patients commonly seek care for pain and injuries, stress and anxiety, sleep difficulties, low energy, digestive concerns, headaches and migraines, jaw and TMJ pain, women's health, and fertility support.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is also available for patients seeking a natural, whole-person approach to healthy aging and skin wellness.

Treatment is individualized according to your health history, symptoms, and personal goals.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Your first visit includes time to discuss your health history, current concerns, and treatment goals. An individualized treatment plan is developed based on your consultation and assessment.

Your treatment may include acupuncture along with complementary therapies such as electroacupuncture, cupping, gua sha, ear seeds, LED light therapy, infrared/TDP heat therapy, or Chinese herbal recommendations when appropriate.

Please select the appropriate Initial Visit when scheduling so that enough time is reserved for your consultation and treatment.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?
Before your first acupuncture treatment, please complete your patient forms in advance and provide information about your current health concerns, medications, supplements, and relevant medical history.
On the day of your appointment:
-
Eat a light meal or snack beforehand and avoid arriving on an empty stomach.
-
Stay well hydrated.
-
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing when possible.
-
Avoid alcohol before your treatment.
-
Bring a list of medications and supplements if they are not already in your forms.
-
Bring relevant medical information, imaging reports, or other records if they relate to the condition being treated.
Depending on the areas being treated, you may be asked to change into a gown, or other appropriate draping will be provided.

Please arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in before your appointment. If you have questions or aren't sure how to prepare, feel free to contact the office before your visit.
